Itis Giovanni XXIII is a Secondary school situated in the district of Tor Sapienza in Rome. There are about 700 students and 75 teachers in our school. The students, mainly come from the south east areas of Rome and attend lessons daily from 8 am to 3pm . They have four different areas where to chose their tuition as the school has been operating in Electronics , IT since 1960 as well as Chemistry , Applied Science and International Marketing. All our students learn English as foreign language and as teachers we feel they deserve more chances to use it. This project will be a golden opportunity to use their foreign language mainly for those students who are members of different ethnic groups, being Rome a centre of immigration both from European and or non-European countries.
There are 30 different countries represented in our school at present. Giovanni XXIII has been a partner of a 2012/14 project for the first time and feels eage to take part in new one before because the school staff believes the exchange among the students and the t The school facility is not too far away from the city centre and from all the most important historical and tourist sites. Actually a 30 minutes bus trip would land a visitor by the Colosseum and the city centre - a very good opportunity to know and visit the capital of Italy
